MPA Energy Solutions has recently launched the solarPad, a new solar power design which offers a cost effective alternative to either expensive large scale, ground mount solar systems or to homes and properties without connection to a power grid.

The solarPad is a metal fabricated structure which incorporates PV solar panels as its roof and can be offered as a grid connect or stand alone solar power system.

The grid connect solarPad is an above ground, "shed like" structure that comprises thin film solar panels as its roof.  The solarPad is manufactured in our warehouse in kit form and then shipped to site as an already assembled unit.  There is minimal installation work to be done on site and for this reason, installation costs are dramatically reduced.  Incidences of theft and vandalism are reduced as panels are mounted high off the ground.  An added advantage is that there is no wasted space as the area under the solarPad can be utilised for shade for animals, machinery or storage.

If you are not connected to a power grid, the solarPad shed is a great alternative source of remote solar power.  This solar shed consists of a metal fabricated shed and is supplied complete with PV monocrystalline solar panels and a battery bank.  The stand alone shed is also manufactured and fully installed in-house thereby reducing installation costs.  The biggest advantage of a stand alone solar shed is that it can be placed at an optimum north facing position and does not rely on the position of existing roofs.  The battery room and control board are housed inside the solar shed and do not take up valuable space in garages and other sheds.  The shed can also be integated into an existing diesel generator power supply when required.

Both sheds come with building approval, an engineering certificate and an N3 wind rating.
